CdxSwapper 1.0.0
The first public release of CdxSwapper, a Windows tray utility for switching between saved Codex accounts and monitoring their remaining usage limits.
Features
- View the active account's remaining usage directly in the tray, with large digits and color-coded status.
- Check both five-hour and weekly limits, including reset times, in the tooltip and account menu.
- Switch saved accounts with confirmation, authentication backups, and restart of the running ChatGPT desktop process.
- Automatically discover accounts and synchronize updated credentials.
- Refresh limits manually or on a schedule, and optionally start with Windows.
- Use the included Python CLI for listing accounts, checking usage, synchronization, and switching.
- Includes a multi-resolution icon embedded in the executable.
Installation
- Install .NET 8 Desktop Runtime for Windows x64. Choose .NET Desktop Runtime → Windows → x64.
- Download
CdxSwapper.exebelow and run it. No installer is required. - Open the tray menu to view accounts and usage limits.
Notes
- This build targets Windows x64. The application interface is currently in Russian.
- The tray utility enables file-based credential storage in the Codex configuration when needed. Restart Codex after that setting changes.
- Authentication files are stored locally in a sibling
cdxSwapperdirectory next toCODEX_HOME, normally%USERPROFILE%\cdxSwapper. Keep this directory private. - The utility does not refresh expired tokens itself; activate the account in Codex to obtain updated credentials.
See the README for build instructions and CLI usage.
